The Winter Break that is fast approaching is such a fun time with sliding, skiing, skating, and staying up late with friends and family. Remember, just because students are on vacation, the germs in their mouths are not!! They never take a break. The germs are always wanting to cause gum disease and cavities!
Please help your child when it comes to taking care of his/her teeth over vacation. Remind them that brushing two times a day for two minutes and flossing at least once a day is still important! Even more so, with all the treats this season brings to us.
This all being said, The Children's Dental Health Project is still going strong here at school. Many families have wondered if it is too late to sign up.....the answer is No! It's not too late. Please contact Kristin Veysey, School Nurse here at school if you need the forms to do so.

It can also keep others from becoming sick, too, but decreasing the spread of germs. Please wash your hands several times throughout the day to maintain a healthy lifestyle and decrease sickness. Here are the recommended times to wash your hands:
- Before, during, and after preparing food
- Before eating food
- Before and after caring for someone who is sick
- Before and after treating a cut or wound
- After using the toilet
- After cleaning a diaper or helping someone else use the toilet

- After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste
