Preschool Newsflash Week of September 13, 2109
Preschool
Newsflash
How
about these poses! Some fabulous full
body stances that the kids would like me to print out and tape onto some of the
blocks for building! While using our
wooden blocks, some of the kids discovered pictures of children who used to be
in preschool! Cameron found his brother
Caiden and put him on the top of his castle!
So fun! Now structures can be
built for us! I’m really looking forward
to seeing what kind of homes and castles we see in the next few weeks!
Picture
day was eventful as it always is J Due to some complications with the camera
equipment, we will be doing our class photo on picture retake day! I will make sure to send out a reminder as
the day approaches!
On
Thursday and Friday the children were busy building, exploring new toys and
practicing their names after listening to the story, “Chicka Chicka Boom
Boom”! We watched the story read aloud
on YouTube…it’s fantastic with animation and music enhancing the book! On Friday we had a special visit from Ms.
Sacha, our Fletcher Memorial Library children’s librarian! She will be coming on Fridays to read a story
and plan music/movement activities with the kids before lunch! Such a wonderful time! We truly enjoy having Ms. Sacha join us in
the classroom!
A
little reminder to families to please make sure your child has extra clothes
with them! We get messy and wet while
doing some of our activities!
Thank
you! Enjoy your weekend!

Preschool Newsflash week of 9/6
Happy Friday to all of our families!
We had another busy week here in the preschool classroom! We talked a lot about houses and families. We decorated a fantastic box and created a little house of our own to have in the dramatic play center! Fits two children easily! Add some books or a baby and it’s a great timeJ
We also graphed the number of people that live in each of our homes! This made for a lot of conversation about individual families. We will continue with this topic next week with a “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” added twist!
All of us are getting really good at our classroom routine! Circle time has been so much fun. Singing our daily songs, learning each other’s names, taking turns, counting calendar and doing daily jobs! Good Stuff! Good Times!
Most exciting! Our brand new cooking cart has arrived! We can’t wait to start cooking! A huge thank you to our custodians for putting our cart together, as always, taking very good care of us!
Enjoy your weekend! Warmly, Lora

Week of August 30, 2019
Welcome Families!
What an amazing first
few days of school! Welcoming both new
and familiar faces! This first week we
simply enjoyed being in the classroom.
The children explored the different areas of the room, played with each
other, and learned all about our daily routine!
Thank you for sending
your children with all of the items they need for the day! Water bottles have been very helpful so that
the children can get a drink when needed, and rest time is so peaceful and
comfortable for each of the children as they snuggle up with their own blankets
and sleepers!
We have enjoyed
wonderful conversations during snack, lunch and choice time! What a fantastic group of children!
Next week we will
continue to explore our room, and learn more about each other and our days
together in the classroom! If possible,
I would love to have a baby picture of each of the children in order to create
a book about growing!
Enjoy all of the
wonderful photos and a long family weekend!
Warmly, Lora
